Community Support and Education

Evaluating the situation and providing emergency aid.

Basic Life Support

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
  • AED (Automated External Defibrillator): Using a portable device to deliver an electric shock to restore a normal heart rhythm in cases of sudden cardiac arrest.

Trauma Care

  • Bleeding Control: Applying pressure, dressings, or tourniquets to control severe bleeding.
  • Fracture Stabilization: Immobilizing broken bones with splints or braces.

Respiratory Support

  • Airway Management: Ensuring that the patient’s airway is open and clear, using techniques such as the Heimlich maneuver.
  • Oxygen Administration: Providing supplemental oxygen to individuals with breathing difficulties.

Patient Assessment and Monitoring

  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Checking and recording blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
  • Initial Assessment: Quickly evaluating a patient’s condition to determine the severity and prioritize treatment.
The San Jacinto County First Responders work tirelessly in their volunteer roles in an effort to support the entire county. We provide:
  • Medical coverage for community events
  • Educational visits to schools/churches
  • Classes on CPR, Stop the Bleed, and First Aid
