Community Support and Education
Evaluating the situation and providing emergency aid.
Basic Life Support
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- AED (Automated External Defibrillator): Using a portable device to deliver an electric shock to restore a normal heart rhythm in cases of sudden cardiac arrest.
Trauma Care
- Bleeding Control: Applying pressure, dressings, or tourniquets to control severe bleeding.
- Fracture Stabilization: Immobilizing broken bones with splints or braces.
Respiratory Support
- Airway Management: Ensuring that the patient’s airway is open and clear, using techniques such as the Heimlich maneuver.
- Oxygen Administration: Providing supplemental oxygen to individuals with breathing difficulties.
Patient Assessment and Monitoring
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Checking and recording blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Initial Assessment: Quickly evaluating a patient’s condition to determine the severity and prioritize treatment.
The San Jacinto County First Responders work tirelessly in their volunteer roles in an effort to support the entire county. We provide:
- Medical coverage for community events
- Educational visits to schools/churches
- Classes on CPR, Stop the Bleed, and First Aid
